This project aims at developing new technology for industrial training, utilizing a virtual reality environment. Currently, the work in Mexico is focused in application s for automotive manufacturing and micromanufacturing.
This project is focused in design and prototyping of medical devices, involving an international collaboration of institutions in Spain, Italy, Portugal, USA, Brazil and Mexico. The medical devices of interest include trachea implant, hip replacement impact, wrist implant, leg prosthesis, micro forceps for endoscopy, among others. The consortium is also developing an open access virtual simulator for laparoscopic surgery.
